Welcome to Silver Spray Rafting...
It could be said that rivers are the vascular system of the planet. They also represent the journey of life and the cycles of the seasons. The metaphors are as deep as they are numerous. People around the world and throughout history have found deep spiritual enlightenment on the river. It's also simply a perfect way to enjoy a summer day and appreciate the beauty of wondrous mountain landscapes. Whatever it is you seek from a holiday adventure, whether it's the thrill of riding through powerful rapids or the unique serenity of traveling on Nature's oldest highway, you can find it with us.
What's New?
Summer, 2010!
It’s been a big year so far in BC. The winter Olympics in Vancouver and Whistler started it all off with a bang! Now summer is on the way and it’s time to get outside and enjoy the most beautiful part of the year in the most beautiful part of the world. The Kootenays in early summer are particularly stunning; full of life and abundant water, the source of the green richness that fills the soul. The flowers are out and the air is crystal clear and, most importantly for us, the River is high. In other words it’s a great time to go rafting.
You might find yourself wanting to be in the water in the early summer but the lakes are still too cold for swimming! It’s a perfect time to go rafting on the Slocan River.
We have a new feature this year for bigger groups which will be a full day on the River. The raft trip itself will be longer and include more rapids. After the trip we’ll return to the put-in beach for a gourmet “après rafting” BBQ.
Did I mention rafting on the Slocan River is an ideal way for the whole family to have fun together? Kids and adults alike always have a great time! Our professional BCROA certified guides will ensure your safety and let you in on as much local knowledge as you like. Silver Spray Rafting offers the most time on the water for your money of any company in the Kootenays. Please check out the “Trips” page for all the info you need to decide on your adventure and then give us a call or email to book.
In 2009 we ran a few multi-day trips wildlife and bird watching wilderness expeditions on the Lardeau and Lower Duncan Rivers. They were a great success and we’re pleased to offer them again this year.
See you on the Water!
