The River Life is the Good Life!
What a month we had in July! The Slocan had above average water levels for the whole month and Silver Spray Rafting was busier than we had even hoped. We had more school groups, exchange students from Japan and Korea, a huge group of tree planters, a huge wedding party, birthday parties, and many more smiling faces.
We had a lot of smoke around here for a couple weeks from forest fires but the weather broke and cooled down for a while so now we’ve got our clear Kootenay air back. The forecast is for the sun to be out and the temperatures to be hot for the next little while.
What better way to enjoy the “Dog Days of Summer” than to float down a picture perfect, crystal clear river? The water is warm now so swim and relax and then get ready ‘cause the S-Bend is still a fun class III rapid even in late season.
