Lardeau and Duncan River
Wilderness Expeditions
Set up a custom adventure holiday with us in the real heart of historic mining country. The rafting is amazingly scenic and remote starting where the Lardeau River flows out of Trout Lake. The views are stunning and the wildlife is abundant – hundreds of birds, moose, coyotes, river otters, beavers, bald eagles and even the occasional grizzly bear are seen. Two days later, after joining the Duncan River, we’ll float right out into the head of the magnificent Kootenay Lake. In addition to this we can do spectacular hikes in the towering Selkirk Mountains and there are abandoned mines and ghost towns to explore.
The nights will be spent camping under the stars by the riverside in tents or in an RV if that’s how you roll. Your expedition can be just one day on the River and one night of camping or as long as four days and nights.
Please check out the photos in the gallery and if you have a group of 6 or more people who are interested you can give us a call or email for more details.
Please note we’ll need plenty of advance notice to design your custom trip (at least 30 days).
Times given include vehicle shuttles and safety talk (approx. 1hr for each trip). Prices include HST
